| • | When we set out to make the best value in starter packages in the fly fishing industry we looked around at the competition. We didn't find another starter package out there that had everything that ours has. A 4-piece 9 foot rod, a large arbor reel with drag, preinstalled line, backing and leader, a rod sock, a rod case, a fly box, three flies and a Lifetime Rod Warranty! | | • | Not only do you get more but you don't have to pay for our name and you get a rod that is specifically made for learning how to fly cast. | | • | Don't mistake this for anything less than a great rod. The rod is a slow action, mid flex design for making learning to cast easier. This rod has many of the same details as our HX Series rods. | | • | The case holds everything that is included in the package. A convenient zippered storage pouch on the side of the case keeps your flies and accessories from getting lost. | | • | Experienced fly casters and instructors who have tried this rod love it. You are likely to love it too! |

Great Choice September 3, 2010 Cool Rod (Miami FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I took this outfit to a BassProShops fly fishing department, and they were very impressed. The casting instructor said it was a heck of a deal. This is a very nice package, with everything a beginner needs. Just because it's for beginners, don't think it's junky, because it's not. It's a good quality rod and reel and you'll be very pleased with it.
Satisfaction June 4, 2010 Robert Kuchta (Frackville, Pa) I was satisfied with my purchase and I like the components that make up the Fly fishing as a starting package equals satisfaction
Excellent Value June 2, 2010 Sean A. Cilley 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am experienced at fly fishing, yet I am also a college student on a low budget. I purchased the Wild Water Complete Starter Package because it appeared to be a good deal. Upon receiving the package, I was very impressed. Although it is without a doubt an entry level kit, it is a top-of-the-line one at that. For a four piece entry level rod, it has an excellent feel and action. The reel is large arbor with a drag adjustment which is rare for other kits from competitors such as scientific anglers or orvis. The case is great and convenient. Any person who is familiar with fly fishing, or has the patience to learn how to fly fish will love this package. It is of unparalleled value for such a modest price. On that note, the only drawback is the line, which does not include a built in loop connector (but for a starter kit that is expected).
Just Add Water June 2, 2010 David M. Cilley (Spencer, NY United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
"I have been teaching fly fishing for many years and have always been asked "what is a good starter set for beginners?". I have always had reservations about starter sets, as most are junk. I had some experience with Wild Water so I gave these a try. They are in my opinion the best starter sets I have used. Several of my students have purchased them either as a 1st rod, or as a replacement for another manufacturers starter set and all have been very pleased. They should have the term "just add water" with them as they are complete. Anyone starting the sport or wanting an affordable set for a family member should grab this."
Good beginners setup May 31, 2010 Kevin E. Kelly Wild Water is awesome! I needed my gear shipped ASAP as I waited until the last minute to order. I emailed company and it showed up next day!
My bother in law is an avid fly fisherman and his evaluation of the gear was good.
Good job Wild Water ! Maybe I'll make it out that way someday....
