Excellent Boot! March 14, 2010 Robert Ward (Severna Park, MD USA) I just bought these boots about three weeks ago for a hike/course that attended last week. I was looking for comfor--I was concerned that I wouldn't have time to break them in. The boots had to be waterproof as well, and I wanted something with a heel that would help with rope climbing. This boot suceeded on all levels. The first day I bought them I went and shoveled snow off a curb while standing in water over the shoe. No problem! When the time came for the class, these shoes were terrific. Hiked a few miles over the week and not a single blister or hotspot. Like other reviewers said, on hard surfaces they do have phases where they squeak, but to me this is not a big deal.
awesome boots! March 10, 2010 Matthew Miller I love these boots. They were extremely comfortable right out of the box. I've been breaking them in over the weeks and can't wait to take them out on some trails.
Nice boots February 3, 2010 K. Hee (Spokane, WA) These boots fit my feet very well. They are comfortable and light. I also like the colors. One thing that I have to get used to is pulling the laces into the metal hooks when I tie the laces. Sometimes it's hard to pull the laces in there, but I think I can bend the hooks a little to make that easier. I still have to test the waterproofness of the boots, but even now, the boots do seem to be breathable enough that my feet don't sweat in them. If they keep my feet dry in wet conditions, I think I would buy these again.
Great shoe February 1, 2010 T. Crawford I bought this boot for my husband for Christmas. He had been looking for a waterproof boot to use while working outside around the house and also while hiking since there are a lot of woods around our house. He loves these boots. At first they seemed a little tight in the toe area, but once he got used to the snug fit he loved them! Great buy!
Squeaky shoes! January 26, 2010 Richard H. Blair (Hattiesburg, MS) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ordered these shoes while working as a contractor in Iraq in September 09. Very comfortable shoes, no break in required. After about a month they started to squeak, both shoes, while walking on any surface. Dirt, pavement, linoleum, wood, carpet. Think something inside the soles is defective. Also the tongue is seemingly too short, laces would slip over the top of it and come loose. They look good and are comfortable but design/manufacture unsatisfactory.
